Disclaimer
Statim is software, not a service. There is no company behind it holding anything on your behalf, and that is the point of it. It also means the responsibilities below are yours, because there is nobody else they could fall to.
Your funds are yours alone
Your keys are generated on your device from your recovery phrase and are never transmitted. The developer never has them, never has your funds, and never has any way to act on your account.
Nobody can recover a lost recovery phrase. Nobody can reverse, cancel or freeze a transaction you signed, recover funds sent to a wrong address, or restore an account whose phrase is gone. Write the words down and keep them offline.
The app is not an exchange, a broker or a custodian. It sells nothing, holds nothing, and takes no fee on any transaction. Nothing in it is financial advice. Token prices, swap quotes and balances are read from public sources and shown as they are found; they can be wrong, stale, or manipulated by whoever controls the source. Check what a transaction says before you confirm it, because once it is signed and broadcast it cannot be taken back.
Your conversations are yours alone
The developer runs no server that your messages pass through. They travel over whichever network the conversation is on, to relays, homeservers and accounts you chose. Your messages are never seen, stored, transmitted or moderated by the developer, who therefore cannot read a conversation, retrieve a message, remove one, or intervene in one.
You are responsible for what you send and for what you do with what you receive, including complying with the law where you are. Anyone you talk to can keep a copy of what you send them, as with any messenger. End-to-end encryption protects a message in transit; it does not control what the person at the other end does with it afterwards.
What other people run is theirs
Relays, Matrix homeservers, bridges, Telegram, blockchain endpoints, market data providers, LI.FI, bots and any site you connect a wallet to are operated by other people. Choosing to use one is your decision, and how it behaves is between you and whoever runs it. The app tells you, on each conversation and before each connection, what that choice exposes.
A bot is an address that answers, and nobody vets bots. One sees everything you send it, exactly as a person would.
No warranty
The software is provided as is, under the MIT licence in LICENSE, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including loss of funds, loss of messages or loss of access to an account.
Using it is your decision, made with the above in view.
